Solution

The position of a website in big search engines like Google does not only depend on how good the content of a website matches the search keywords but also depends on how good the domain name matches the search keywords. A good domain name improves the ranking of your own website in search engines. It only influences the ranking by a few percent, but the strong competition with other website owners forces you to unleash the full potential to improve your own website’s ranking.

A good domain name is a name that consist of the most important search engine keywords by that your website shall be found. It is much better to use descriptive terms for a domain name than to use a business or organization name. When you choose your domain name, pay attention to create it from the most commonly used words: “car-dealer.com” is better than “auto-trader.com”.

Since new, descriptive toplevel domain endings like .berlin, flower or sale were introduced in addition to common endings like .com, .net, .org or country domains like .us and .mx, the new endings can also enhance the search engine ranking.
